presentation SIMM @ 2nd edition of JAZZ I AM, Barcelona

Lukas Pairon gives a presentation of SIMM @ 2nd edition of JAZZ I AM, an international jazz meeting focused on boosting partnerships among professionals, artists, sponsors, institutions, agencies and venues. During three days, the meeting hosts panel discussions, workshops, speed meetings and showcases. This year the event is entirely organised online and  it will take place from December 9th to 11th, 2020. It is organised by the Barcelona based music conservatory Taler de Musics.

Lukas Pairon’s presentation of the SIMM platform is programmed during the panel on December 11th (from 12.30 to 13.30) on SOCIAL PROJECTS: ENCOURAGING CREATIVITY THROUGH MUSIC.

This panel is focusing on projects of social inclusion through music education. Besides the research platform SIMM, three other projects are presented: (1) Taller Obert, a project that promotes social reintegration through a program of musical activities that involve training, creation, relationships, and empowerment. It is aimed at adults who are at risk of social exclusion. (2) European Caravan, is an international exchange project that connects young people from Romani and non-Romani communities through music and theater. Our friends of Madame Fortuna (Antwerp) are part of this network. And (3) also Globe Aroma will be part of the panel, another Belgium based project!
